Tales from the Couch... "How to Make It in America"

Hiplectic Nation…I have finally done it. I have decided to pop my cherry and make my first hiplectic post. Like most nubile, young virgins who finally decide to take that first step, there is a good chance my inner slut will be unleashed and more posts will cum.

So here it goes.

My life is pretty tedious these days and I don’t have many juicy anecdotes to share in my post IV apocalypse. I spend the majority of my time ballin err hoopin at the gym, looking for a job, and watching TV. Let’s just say I am getting really good at one out of those three things. Recently I stumbled on a new series on HBO from the producers of “Entourage.” It is called “How to Make it in America” and it features none other than ya boy, Kid CUdi… or is it kID CuDI? I will just call him Scott Mescudi.

The show is basically about two friends in New York who try and make a buck without selling out. It is cut from the “Entourage” mold (half hour show, tons of hot girls, some crossover casting, and funny one liners) but unlike “Entourage” this show doesn’t suck. Granted I have only seen the first episode, but Sesame Street has better acting than the tragedy on TV that is “Entourage.” I believe Jimphi will especially love this show because the first episode features his two favorite things... hipsters and photography. (Actually Jimmy… the pics featured on the show aren’t homoerotic close ups of Der Der’s and Gabe’s face, so you might not like it. )
