A Summer Song

Wow boys, I still can't wrap my head around where this past year has gone. It's certainly been one of the greatest years of my life, and I am definitely not going to take for granted these next 3 weeks. Anyhow, last night DerDer, Loopy, Jimms and I had the opportunity to go to DG's final date. There had been a bunch of drama surrounding the whole event because the planner of the party asked everyone for an party additional $20 for a "big surprise." Turns out the surprise was the OC's favorite black person--yeah, SHWAYZE. I was pretty stoked, because I probably logged about 100 listens of their first album while at the corner house. Their sound pretty much defined summer in Southern California, and there was nothing better to listen to when cracking some natty light and catching some cosmic rays. The performance last night was alright from what I remember, mostly him just DJing and singing along to some of his jams, but nothing too crazy.

Anyhow, I downloaded this song that I think has those SoCal summer vibes that shwayze brings mixed with the indie sound of Foster the People. Wow--what a combo.

It's called "A Summer Song" by a group called Conner Youngblood. Download it here Fuckers!

let's live these last few weeks up boys!
