What up Hiplectonauts,
I hope you guys all had a blast on New Years Eve. (From the looks of each of J-bone's 1000's mammoth mobile uploads, it looks like you guys had a pretty good time). So I was thinking about making one of those blogs that people make when they study abroad to chronicle their travels aka brag about all of the cool shit they are doing, but I always find those things pretty lame/douchy. So, I decided to start trying to do an at least bi-weekly update on here to keep you guys in the loop of the life of your favorite young gun. I landed in DC yesterday and I am having a blast already. My three roomates are all really cool dudes who like to booze and get their shit done too. There are a couple good looking girls in the program, but nothing to really write home about. Also, its cold as balls here: about 30 degrees the past couple days. That is definitely gonna take some getting used to. Anyways, no real substance in this post expect to say what up and that I miss all yall. Expect more in the very near future.

Unfortunately, a pretty good childhood friend of mine was killed over winter break in a drunk driving accident. It hit me and the rest of the Stockton community pretty hard. People often comment on the tight-knit nature of people from Stockton, and I think that this video really exemplifies that. Its pretty shitty quality, but the video is of Stockton native Nate Diaz's post-match interview after his beatdown of Cerrone in UFC 141. At the end of the clip, he gives a shout out to my late friend Dom and to the community in general. Pretty cool stuff
