Here's a nice little track from my boys Binary Star. Really sick underground lyrical rap duo out of Michigan. The duo consists of rappers One Be Lo and Senim Silla, who ironically met in prison while they were both doing bids at Hiawatha Correctional Facility. These guys are extremely talented and they keep it fuckin real. Binary Star's positive and down to earth lyrics present a welcomed contrast from the gangta/crime lyrical rap that I have been listening to lately. Unfortunatley, the duo only put out one cd, entitled "Masters of the Universe," which was released in 2000 and is regarded as a classic among hip-hop fans in the know. The song is present you with is called "Honest Expression." My favorite lines of the song: "I'm not hardcore, I don't pack a 9 millimeter. Most of yall other gangsta rappers aint hard core neither" and "You think your hardcore cause you was raised in the projects?" The lyrics of the song are so sick that I suggest you peep them and follow along with the song.
