The last couple of months have been a whirlwind for me in many ways. With the sometimes stressful uncertainty of my future has also come a lot of great opportunities. One of these opportunities being the trips to Vegas. Work or not they have been some great times, which Jimmy can attest too. From partying at Lavo with what seemed like a never ending supply of Belvedere and Hennessy Black to walking straight into Wet Republic for free on Labor Day weekend, getting to talk to Laidback Luke (even if it was only through text haha) and getting him to throw the Hiplectics on for a couple songs, to getting to DJ for 20 mins at a Vegas club which is unlike anything else Iv done. When Im out there however, all i can think is how I wish that you guys were out there with me. Hopefully someday soon I can finally go to vegas with all of Hiplectic and really rage or die.
With that said this last week was again an experience to remember. Trevor and I were hired to shoot the opening of the new CRSVR store in the brand new Cosmopolitan hotel. A truely awesome place, the Cosmo is a mix between the Hard Rock and the Wynn with an inviting level of classiness, hence their tagline "Just the right amount of wrong".Our plane got in 8n hours before it was open to the public so we cruised around the hotel as everyone ran around getting last minute things in place. In addition to shooting the store we walked through the whole place, ran into the Killers who were playing that night on the outdoor pool area on the fifth floor that overlooks the vegas strip, and even found a ballroom three stories tall and the size of a football field. THe hotel is built in themed levels. Casino on the first, shopping on the second with shops ranging from CRSVR to a bikini store with models standing on tables for everyone to see. The Third floor is a food court of sorts, except instead of mcdonalds youll find premium restaurants like STK and a 5 star sushi spot. In the center of these floors is a two story chandelier with a bar in the center. The Fourth has an outdoor pool area, then clubs on the 5th and sixth and rooms beyond that. Here are some pictures that hopefully can give you guys a better idea of how cool the hotel really is. It probably will be the only time I ever get to see it the way I did. enjoy....
Outside the CRSVR store, complete with an 8ft poster of the master, DJ Vice.
Inside, before the doors opened. Mikiwar and MAtty on the ones and twos.
Vice, Nick and some guy from ESPN that Beef probably knows
MAtty and Vice having a scratch battle on the brand new tables inside CRSVR. Iv never seen Matty scratch like that. It was pretty f*@king amzing. the only one better....DJ Vice. Vice has truely become a celebrity in Vegas (among other places) and after seeing him DJ and now scratch, he deserves every amount of praise he gets, he truly is the whole package when it comes to being a great DJ.
The massive two story chandelier in the center of the hotel.
Outside of the main club there is a second VIP area similar to Surrender with a second DJ booth, bumpin speakers and cabanas that overlook the strip opposite suites that have private gates straight onto the pool deck. One of two roof top pools at the Cosmo, Im sure these will be the hot ticket item come Pool season as they offer something different in the view of the strip, something lacking in many of the other pool parties.
Alongside the dance area outside the club sit 8 hot tubs in front of each cabana area, each with one side being all glass revealing any and all that will eventually go on in these VIP jacuzzis.
THe Marquee. Residing on the sixth floor, the Tao group has done it again with this amazing club. Built to embrace the Electronic DAnce Music movement, it is built with pounding techno music in mind, hence Kaskades residency starting New YEars day. Equipt with crisscrossing lasers, a three story LED screen, a group of 20 absolutely flawless go-go dancers and a second floor box seat area, built solely for VIPs and owners of the club, it doesnt surprise me that KAskade has called it one of the coolest clubs hes ever seen. When we were there they were going through a full rehearsal or "mock night" for investors and VIPs only, because it technically it does not open till NYE. We were truly lucky to be able to get in there and be some of the first ppl to see it in all its glory.
Finally, last but not least, one level down from the main club is a separate VIP room, called the Boom Box Room, strictly for hip-hop and VIP guests. Vice and the rest of the CRSVR guys rented it out for the night and we were lucky enough to tag along. Matty opened followed by Eric D-Lux, DJ ECHO and of course VICE. Similar to our first Lavo trip, it was another night full of absurd amounts of booze. Unfortunately Trev and I were cooked from the day and had to be up at 8 to catch our flight, so we didnt rage as hard as we should have. Bottom line is i needed the boys there.
It was a crazy 24 hours and an even crazier hotel... Lets plan a trip

Fucking speechless Lando. Your well documented VIP trip of Vegas threw back memories of the past 4 trips Ive had to Vegas since Spring. What a year it has been, From a trip of 18 people and free suites at the hard rock, to a 4 horsemen trip w/ a pharmaceutic Dr that did an 8 ball in 2 days by himself. To the infamous Snod and polly trip, when they werent even 21, aka "blood money". To the greatest trip to date with 6 of my girl frinds where I walked into clubs as pleased and made Vegas my bitch. With all that said, the new 33 Crew needs a fucking trip to Vegas, well documented trip. Feel me?
twothumbs up...now lets go to FUCKING vegas
