Check out Eric Olsson, Ryan Sweeney and myself's short film that we did for the SB and Washington DC eco film festivals (ryan is the guy in front of the canoe and eric is the one in the back for those who are unaware).
Watch two groups of guys race to the channel islands, the gas guzzling way and the eco friendly way. It was a shit ton of fun filming it as well as gained a lot of experience. Never thought a 3 min film could take so much filming but dayyyyuuummm.. 2 weeks later ... here it is!
Number one thing i learned from this was that organizing and planning is the hardest part, the rest is quite simple. First place gets 1k in the DC festival and the winner gets a 17" mac book pro for the SB festival. I'll let you guys know how it goes!
