My blogging game is admittingly a little eratic (some may even say straight up Charlie Sheen Bi-Polar, peep the vid below) but I am trying to level it out. I have alot of stuff that I want to get out there but to me, worthwhile posts are like Rome: they aren't built in a day. When I get an idea, It sits around for a while on my desktop on a sticky note (yes I have a blog topic sticky note widget). It could stay there for months, weeks, or even a year. Most of my posts, along with the rest of my life, revolve around what I consider to be amazing music. I know some of you Hiplecticans aren't down for the same musical cause that I am, but I try to post stuff that I think could appeal to all music lovers, and this post is no exception.
What you are about to see is a music video for the song Bad Times Zoo by the rapper Sims. Sims is a member of the lyrical hip-hop super group called Doomtree out of Minnesotta. This guy straight brings it. It may be a little to expressive or lyrical for some, but this guy has a crazy way with words. His flow is Bugatti fast and his metaphors, imagery, and vocab will have you running for a dictionary (ie. the first verse). All of this word-smithery is laid over an infectious jazz-influenced beat that hits in all the right places. As an added bonus, the music video relfects the lyrics of the song and is done to symbolic perfection.
Bump it.
